I have been painting and drawing most of my life and in recent years have started using clay forms as my canvas. I work in my home studio just outside of Charlottesville, VA where the beautiful landscapes and wildlife, as well as my love for the beauty in food, serve as my inspiration. I keep my pieces simple in their form and design with plenty of surface to paint my colorful, whimsical patterns on. Each of the pieces is individually done and usually speaks to what will be painted on it. The bright colors I use add to the cheerfulness of all the pieces. I never tire of hearing the often spoken words, “Your work makes me smile.” My pots are functional as well as being decorative pieces, safe to use for food and in the home environment.
