Juliet Kirby was born in England and started her art education in London. She emigrated to the USA and completed her art training, graduating from the New York Botanical Garden’s Botanical Illustration Program.

Over the years she has had successful one person shows in Connecticut, New York, North Carolina and Virginia, and in 1996 returned to England to exhibit with the Royal Horticultural Society, where she was awarded a silver medal. In 1999, she exhibited at This Century Art Gallery (formerly the Twentieth Century Art Gallery) as part of a group show featuring three floral painters.

Camellia sasanqua 'Kanjiro', Juliet KirbyJuliet has participated in many juried group shows including exhibitions at the New York, Brooklyn and Denver Botanical Gardens and at the New York State Museum in Albany, New York. She frequently exhibits at orchid shows in Washington, DC, Baltimore, Maryland and New York City where she has won several awards. In January, 2000 she exhibited at the ASBA Show, "Flora 2000" at Longwood Gardens, Pennsylvania. Later that year she organized and directed the Eastern Orchid Congress’ Art Show in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Currently, she resides in Wllliamsburg, Virginia where she continues to paint and teach watercolor workshops in her favorite subject. She is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists.
