Linda Gerek is an elementary school art teacher in Virginia Beach and has been teaching for 15 years. Married with two children, Linda began exhibiting her work in 2000. Her interests in biking, hiking and camping have provided the inspiration for many of her paintings. Most of her landscapes are painted on location in Virginia. She works primarily in watercolors, but will embellish a painting with watercolor pencils, chalk or other mediums to get the image or feeling she is after.

Linda received her B.A. and B.S. in Arts Education degrees from Old Dominion University.
