Two of the things that I vividly remember from my childhood are my first camera, a Brownie, and while still in elementary school, my best friend's father allowing us to use his darkroom. I seemed to always have a camera around from then through my early years in the military. Then family and two jobs sidetracked me from photography for many years. I "not quite" retired in 2002 and once again rekindled my passion for photography. But now, much of the photographic world is digital and being somewhat of a techie, I find photography even more irresistible... I can now create images of the scenes the way that I saw them, not just simply printing what comes out of the camera.
